To my wonderful son... you're my favorite, because you're my only one... Happy 9th Birthday, Migs!  Momma loves you!!!

{Click here to listen to Angel of Mine}

"Angel Of Mine"

When I first saw you I already knew
There was something inside of you
Something I thought that I would never find
Angel of mine

I look at you, lookin' at me
Now I know why they say the best things are free
I'm gonna love you boy you are so fine
Angel of Mine

How you changed my world you'll never know
I'm different now, you helped me grow
You came into my life sent from above
When I lost all hope you showed me love
I'm checkin' for ya boy you're right on time
Angel of Mine

Nothing means more to me than what we share
No one in this whole world can ever compare
Last night the way you moved is still on my mind
Angel of Mine

What you mean to me you'll never know
Deep inside I need to show
You came into my life sent from above (Sent from above)
When I lost all hope, you showed me love (Boy you showed me love)
I'm checkin' for ya, boy you're right on time (Right on Time)
Angel of Mine (Angel of mine)

I never knew I could feel each moment
As if it were new,
Every breath that I take, the love that we make
I only share it with you (you, you, you, you)
When I first saw you I already knew
There was something inside of you
Something I thought that I would never find
Angel of Mine

You came into my life sent from above (Came into my life, yeah yeah yeah)
When I lost all hope you showed me love (Boy You showed me love, uh huh)
I'm checkin' for ya, boy you're right on time (But boy your right on time)
Angel of Mine (Angel of mine, oh mine)

How you changed my world you'll never know
I'm different now, you helped me grow

I look at you lookin' at me
Now I know why they say the best things are free
I'm checkin' for ya, boy you're right on time
Angel of Mine

my achy breaky feet

my feet ache...my calves ache, to be exact.

i accompanied the 2 little kids - migs & andy - to their field trip yesterday.  we first went to the la mesa eco-park in quezon city then proceeded to Greenbelt, makati to watch the Cinderella stage play.

It’s my first time to go to the la mesa eco park, previously known (as I have known it) as La Mesa Dam.  The surrounding area (around 2700 hectares) was now turned into an eco-park, meaning, lush plantation, several ponds with different kinds of fish, bike and hike trails, playgrounds and picnic tables scattered around the area.

http://www.geocities.com/spinningdreams3/lamesa.jpgThe first activity for the kids (including parents, of course) was to count the steps of these very high stairs located at the far end of the park.  Andy and I, thinking we could get away with it, and wanting to get things done easily, tried to just count the steps from the photo in our activity sheet, but it was impossible to do so, heh-heh.  Besides, I think andy would have more fun if she counted the steps while actually going up the stairs.

After 80 steps, I thought I couldn’t go on anymore.  But andy was persistent and seemed to still have lots of energy.  Migs was nowhere to be found, he went ahead with his third grade classmates, running up the stairs.  Yes, running!  Andy and I finally reached the top of the stairs, after 117 steps.  And that’s non-stop climbing for us.  Hah!  I was so proud because we beat the other pairs of kids-moms, thanks to my tennis sessions (no matter how irregular our playing nights may be).   Oh, I forgot to even get a glimpse of the Dam. Darn.

After more walking/running activities, we had lunch then went to greenbelt.  Aaah, air-con!

The kids loved the play, plus there was a sort of audience participation during the play, so the theater turned really noisy with all the kids’ reaction.  I’m sure everybody, parents/yayas included, had fun.  After the play, it was time to go home, and we had to walk in queues as usual – from the theater, to the mall, to the sidewalk, and finally to the waiting area… climb, walk, run, wait in line…  those were the things we mostly did during the entire field trip.

And that was the story behind my aching calves.  But it was fun.
