No Fear!

“He who is not everyday conquering some fear has not learned the secret of life.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

It's just around 10mins drive from our house but as embarassing as it is, we haven't visited the place.  I kept putting it off -- lots of excuses -- that it's just so near so we can always go there whenever we want;  that the entrance fee is kinda pricey (and i think it's getting higher every year?);  but maybe the real reason is that I'm actually scared to try the rides.  So, after 7 years of delay -- and much to the delight of my kids -- I finally decided to set foot on Enchanted Kingdom

These are the rides we tried:

We started with the Up, Up and Away Air Balloon ride -- sort of dizzying, not quite fun.  But there were still lots of rides to try...

Mini Roller Coaster (I forgot what it's called, but it's a tamed version of their major roller coaster) -- Migs rode this alone... then Andy and I joined him... this ride will be enjoyed not only by kids but grown-ups too.  exciting enough...

Flying Fiesta -- more like flying chairs/swing -- now this sets the adrenalin high... scary but you'll still feel secure...

Rio Grande -- this is fun!  prepare to get wet on this ride... the fun is in getting wet, actually.  this is also the ride with the longest queue, but it's worth the wait!

Anchors Away -- you'll be seated on a pirate ship that rocks back and forth, starting from a short distance, then swinging as far as 90degrees from the ground.  It looks very boring and safe, but once you're there it feels so much different, and kinda scary but fun.  I rode this with the kids and I'm so proud of us, hee.

Log Jam -- again, a water ride, and you'll be getting wet for sure.  The most exciting part is the 26m drop, complete with your photo taken by them!  The photo was PhP199 per shot...kinda expensive for me, so I didn't buy it.  I'm such a cheapskate!

Rialto -- a movie theater ride, lasting about 8mins long...with the seats moving synchronized with the film movements... a 4D theater?  not much fun, but it's different...

Wheel of Fate -- this is one HUGE Ferris Wheel.  Only hubby, Pauline and Andy rode this.  The three of us, Alexa, Migs and I thought it was a waste of time -- it took more than 5 mins to finish and we wanted to try the more daring rides...so...

The Space Shuttle -- now this is THE ride... check out some of its kewl specs i got from rollercoaster database

Andy was not allowed to ride the Space Shuttle and Log Jam coz she didn't meet the height requirement -- she's just seven, you know.  But she bravely tried all the other rides!  Hubby came late, he dropped by at the office to finish some work.  Deep inside I think it's just his delaying tactics, hahaha!  Well I was a bit right, actually coz the most daring ride he took was the flying fiesta, hee-hee.

Needless to say, after riding the Space Shuttle, all the other rides were just a piece of cake...
